PGY2 Retreat: June 3rd, 2008 from 6-9 PM
The PGY2 Retreat (DACR School) is June 3rd from 6-9 PM. It's not at Gwinn this year. It's at the Guilford House on campus. I think that's the house with the big porch between Thwing and the Frank Geary building. Since it's only 3 hours long, the coverage scheme is simpler. For the PGY3s who've been tapped to help, I appreciate it.
1. Night float people come at 6P for the retreat, and the PGY3s on the wards don't sign out until 9P or later (not that you usually do).
2. Don is the VA MICU resident, and Herb is the VAMICU NF. Vijay (on VACards) will supervise the VAMICU intern from 6-9, and the VAMICU intern will stay until Herb gets back from the retreat (just after 9P).
3. Bindu is on call at the VA on White Medicine. Bindu and Chiraag should trade call--Bindu can take Chiraag's call on 5/28, and Chiraag should cover Bindu's call on 6/3.
4. Ryan Anthony is on call for Carpenter. John Jakob and Nathan Langer (on-call for Weisman and Hellerstein) will cover the admitting teams at UH, including Carpenter.
5. Joumana is on call in the CICU. Chris Allen, can you pull a long day that day and hold down the fort while she's at the retreat? That's probably the best option from a patient care standpoint since you'll already know the patients.
6. Since all the MICU residents that month are PGY2s, Ken can you please cover the MICU interns while Nima is at the retreat?
